We get together the first Friday of each month at the UNCG Faculty Center from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.


ABOUT US

The Alliance Francaise is a world-wide, non-profit, cultural and educational organization founded in Paris in 1883. It has 1,300 chapters in 112 countries including 140 chapters in the United States.

The mission of the Alliance Francaise is to promote French language and culture, and to foster friendly relations between Francophones and Francophiles. We welcome everyone who likes speaking French, individuals, couples and families alike.

PROGRAM OR CULTURAL EVENTS

We choose the activities for the year during our first meeting in September. Consult our Google Calendar for dates, times and locations of our events.

AFFILIATION

This year we are proud to be affiliated with the Paris Foundation of Alliance Francaise and with the Federation of Alliance Francaise of the USA in Chicago.

2008/2009 PROGRAM

October 3: Francophone Film Festival at Guilford College.
November 7: Pictionary evening.
December 6 (Note this is a Saturday.): Noël meals around the world.
January 2: King Cake. Manger scene showing. Patricia et Jean-François open their home.
February 6: Candlemas or Crepe Day.Crepes, of course, and games for the kids.
March 6:French songs with bread, wine and cheese tasting.
April 3: Theatre with Guilford College students participating.
May 2 (Note this is a Saturday.): Family day at the pool. The French bowling game, pétanque, grilled food, and races for the kids.

2009/2010 PROGRAM
